SX 320 is a mid-season corn hybrid with FAO 320-400, intended for grain production. The hybrid features a dent-type kernel of light-yellow color with a yellow-orange tint, round-long shape, and a 1000-kernel weight of 300-320 g. Plants reach a height of 205-215 cm, do not tiller, and have an ear attachment height of 80-90 cm. The ear is cylindrical, 22-23 cm long, with 16 rows of kernels and a red stalk. Grain yield reaches 83.5%, indicating high hybrid productivity.
The SX 320 hybrid has moderate cold tolerance, tolerates heat well, and positively responds to improved growing conditions. It is resistant to diseases such as common smut, lodging, and corn borer, ensuring reliable yield. The recommended planting density in the forest-steppe zone is 70-75 thousand plants per hectare. Potential grain yield ranges from 9.3 to 13.8 tons per hectare at moisture content of 12.4-17.7%.
The hybrid exhibits rapid grain drying upon maturity, facilitating harvest and reducing losses. It is suitable for monoculture and minimal soil tillage, making it convenient for modern agronomic practices. Excellent resistance to root lodging and high planting uniformity ensure stable and high-quality yields. Due to its dense kernel arrangement and thin, long kernel structure, SX 320 demonstrates high grain quality and high yield potential.
