DMS Trend

DMS Trend — mid-early hybrid sweet corn of Ukrainian selection with FAO 290, intended for grain cultivation in various natural zones of Ukraine, including forest-steppe and Polissia. Plants reach a height of up to 190 cm, with ears positioned at approximately 75 cm. The vegetation period is up to 110 days, allowing the hybrid to quickly reach maturity while retaining green leaves and effectively reducing grain moisture during ripening. Seeds have insecticide-fungicide protection and can be sown at soil temperatures of +9-10°C, ensuring accelerated early growth and early plant development. The DMS Trend hybrid is characterized by high productivity and resistance to adverse conditions. It demonstrates high heat and drought tolerance, with drought resistance rated 8 and lodging resistance rated 9. The hybrid is also resistant to common smut and corn borer, contributing to stable yields. Under optimal conditions, yield can reach 146-159 c/ha, surpassing foreign analogs. High adaptability to intensive cultivation technologies allows maximum utilization of the hybrid’s potential, ensuring stable and high yields. DMS Trend ears are well-filled, forming 14-20 rows of dark-yellow, dent-shaped kernels, ensuring high grain yield per ear. Recommended sowing dates are April 20-25, at a depth of 5-7 cm and density of 70-80 thousand plants per hectare in the forest-steppe zone. Thanks to its characteristics and resistance, DMS Trend is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable sweet corn yields in Ukraine.
