Description DN Stiag
DN Stiag is a sugar corn with high drought resistance and stem lodging resistance. This medium-maturing hybrid with FAO 320 features low grain moisture at harvest, facilitating storage and processing. Plants reach a height of 210-220 cm and exhibit weak bushiness, promoting optimal growth and yield formation. The corn cob has a conical-cylindrical shape, 21-22 cm long, with 14 rows of kernels characterized by yellow-orange color and toothed shape. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 270-290 g, indicating large and dense kernels. The DN Stiag hybrid shows moderate cold tolerance and high resistance to gray leaf spot, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. The recommended planting density in steppe zones is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare, enabling potential yields of 9.0 to 12.2 tons per hectare at grain moisture levels of 12.5-18.3%. To enhance productivity, foliar feeding micro-fertilizers are recommended, application of nitroammophoska fertilizer before planting, and herbicide treatments at the 3-5 and 7-9 leaf stages. DN Stiag is intended for grain use, making it an excellent choice for farmers focused on obtaining high-quality sugar corn yields. Thanks to its agronomic traits and adaptation to steppe zone conditions, this hybrid ensures stable and efficient production, which is particularly important for commercial cultivation.
