EMMEROWD

Grain sorghum EMMEROWD® is a medium-maturing simple two-line hybrid primarily intended for feed use in animal husbandry. The plant is tall with a loose panicle of medium length and wide at the bottom, which contributes to good crop formation. The grain is narrow-elliptical with an orange-red coloration after maturing and minimal tannin content, which improves the quality of the feed base. EMMEROWD® is distinguished by high dry matter yield of silage mass, reaching 86.4 centners per hectare, with maximum indicators up to 211 centners per hectare under favorable conditions.

The variety has good frost resistance and is adapted to various climatic conditions, including arid regions. The plant is characterized by high leafiness and lodging resistance, which ensures crop stability. EMMEROWD® demonstrates excellent feed digestibility, with a starch content of 9.4% and sugar content of 24.1%, making it a valuable source of energy and protein for livestock. Thanks to these properties, sorghum is suitable not only for feed production but also for the production of bioethanol and alcohol.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to adhere to sowing rates depending on the conditions: 180-220 thousand seeds per hectare in arid regions, 220-250 thousand in zones with sufficient moisture, and up to 250 thousand under irrigation. The row spacing should be 50-75 cm, and the seed planting depth should be 2-4 cm at a soil temperature above 12°C. These agronomic parameters contribute to optimal plant development and maximum variety productivity.
