DMS Unity

DMS Unity corn is an early-maturing, high-yielding hybrid with FAO maturity group 170, developed by the breeding company MAIS. This hybrid is intended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia, ensuring broad adaptability and stable yields. The vegetation period varies by region and ranges from 96 to 106 days. Plants reach a height of about 245 cm, with well-filled, vibrant yellow ears attached at a height of 85-100 cm. DMS Unity exhibits high drought and heat tolerance, which is especially important for steppe regions. The hybrid demonstrates high cold tolerance in early spring and good early growth rate, promoting rapid dry matter accumulation in the grain. Grain is dent-type, with row numbers ranging from 14 to 18, and features high post-maturity drying speed, facilitating harvest and reducing losses. Additionally, the hybrid shows moderate resistance to lodging and high resistance to diseases such as common and dusty smut, as well as pests such as corn borer. The potential yield of DMS Unity reaches 15 tons per hectare, though actual yields vary by region: in steppe areas, it may reach about 13 tons per hectare; in forest-steppe regions — 14.5 tons per hectare; and in Polissia — up to 15 tons per hectare. Practical data from various regions of Ukraine confirm the hybrid’s high productivity. Due to its agronomic characteristics and adaptability, DMS Unity is an excellent choice for agricultural enterprises aiming to achieve stable and high-quality corn yields under various climatic conditions.
