Maize Spring 187 MV

Proven Ukrainian Grain Genetics

Developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAS, "Kvitnevyi 187 MV" is a quintessential simple hybrid maize variety designed for reliable grain production. Over the years, this hybrid has become a staple for Ukrainian farmers who prioritize predictability and field stability over high-input intensive management.

Field Performance and Disease Resistance

The hybrid's market position is supported by its strong genetic resistance profile, which effectively lowers production risks:

• Pathogen Defense: Natural resistance to corn smut significantly reduces the need for aggressive fungicide application.
• Pest Management: The variety exhibits robust tolerance to the European corn borer, simplifying integrated pest management strategies.
• Grain Characteristics: The dent-type kernels are optimized for mature harvest and efficient moisture release, streamlining post-harvest handling.

With an FAO maturity range of 90–1240, this hybrid offers the versatility needed to adapt to various regional microclimates across Ukraine. "Kvitnevyi 187 MV" remains a strategic choice for operations seeking a trusted, domestically sourced hybrid that consistently delivers high-quality grain for the market.
