Roxi (FAO 280) is a high-yielding, medium-early simple hybrid corn developed by HIKS Ukraine for grain production. It is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe, and is ideally suited for planting after good preceding crops on a high agro-foundation. The grain of this hybrid belongs to the intermediate type, closer to the dent type, ensuring high-quality yield.
Roxi demonstrates high yield potential under intensive technologies and adequate fertilizer levels. The hybrid exhibits rapid water release, allowing timely harvest with minimal grain moisture. Thanks to its high cold tolerance, Roxi can be sown early, promoting stable plant growth and development even at low temperatures during the early vegetative period.
Moreover, the hybrid shows high resistance to stalk diseases and lodging, reducing the risk of yield loss under adverse weather conditions and enabling cultivation even when sown in monoculture. Roxi exhibits an intensive growth type with a high level of heterosis, making it particularly effective when using modern agronomic technologies.
