"Dniprovskyi 303 MV" is a simple interline hybrid of dent corn, developed with the participation of breeders from the Institute of Grain Crops of the NAAS and "Garden Tools Ukraine". The engineering focus of this hybrid is set on maximizing grain yield within the mid-early maturity segment (FAO 300).

Resistance architecture and field phytosanitary

A critical node in the selection of this hybrid is its immune barrier. Genetic engineers focused on specific threats typical for Ukrainian soil and climatic conditions:

• Pathogen protection: The hybrid's genetic architecture provides high resistance to pathogens of head smut (Sphacelotheca reiliana) and stalk smut. This reduces the need for extensive fungicide treatments under moderate infection pressure.
• Pest control: Significant attention is paid to resistance against the European corn borer. Due to the dense stem structure and specific tissue chemical composition, the hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to larval damage, which effectively prevents lodging during the active ripening stage.

Agronomic indicators and utilization

A vegetation period of 90–100 days classifies "Dniprovskyi 303 MV" as a flexible tool for crop rotation planning. The dent-type grain offers high technological efficiency during drying: the physical properties of the endosperm facilitate rapid moisture release, reducing energy consumption during post-harvest handling.

The recommended plant density is 55,000–60,000 plants per hectare. This value represents the optimal balance between nutrient area and stem load, ensuring uniform cob filling under standard agricultural conditions. Using the hybrid for grain production is justified by its genetic potential for dry matter accumulation, making "Dniprovskyi 303 MV" a predictable solution for farms focused on consistent harvest performance.
