DM Unia

DM Unia is an early-maturing, simple modified hybrid of sweet corn, Ukrainian selection, with FAO 190. The hybrid's grain is cream-colored, yellow-orange. The hybrid is characterized by tall plants and high productivity, making it especially suitable for cultivation in the Forest Steppe and Polissia regions. Due to its adaptability, DM Unia adapts well to various soil-climate conditions and is recommended for intensive cultivation technologies.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to adverse factors: cold tolerance of seedlings, heat and drought resistance, as well as resistance to diseases such as common smut, gray smut, and pests, including corn borer. The minimum soil temperature for sowing is 8-9 °C, allowing the hybrid to successfully start early. The intensity of grain drying after maturity facilitates timely harvest.

The recommended plant density before harvest varies by region: 50-55 thousand plants per hectare in the Steppe, 60-65 thousand in the Forest Steppe, and 70-75 thousand in the Polissia. The potential grain yield reaches 9.8 t/ha in the Steppe, 12.5 t/ha in the Forest Steppe, and 14.2 t/ha in the Polissia. All these characteristics make DM Unia a high-yielding and reliable hybrid for cultivation in the specified regions of Ukraine.
