Description DM Scarb
DM Scarb is a medium-maturing, simple interlinear hybrid of sweet corn with FAO 330, intended for cultivation in various climatic zones. Plants reach a height of approximately 270 cm, with ears attached at a height of about 10 cm. Kernel shape is dent, with rows per ear ranging from 14 to 16. The hybrid is characterized by moderate initial growth rate and moderate drying intensity after physiological maturity, ensuring optimal harvesting conditions.

DM Scarb exhibits high resistance to cold, drought, and heat, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions, including Southern and Northern Steppes, Forest Steppe, and Polissia. Recommended plant density at harvest varies by region: from 40-45 thousand plants per hectare in the Southern Steppe to 70-80 thousand plants per hectare in Polissia. Minimum soil temperature for sowing seeds is 10-12 °C.

The hybrid has high yield potential — up to 11.3 tons per hectare based on trials and a theoretical yield of 152 centners per hectare. Additionally, DM Scarb demonstrates good resistance to diseases such as common and spotted smut, as well as corn borer, which contributes to maintaining high quality and quantity of harvest. The sowing unit contains 80,000 seeds treated with the agent Faver, providing additional protection and improved germination.
