The P9578 corn hybrid is a mid-late maturity simple hybrid with FAO 350, intended for grain production. It features a dent kernel type and high yield potential, reaching 12-15 tons per hectare. This hybrid is characterized by a strong stalk, ensuring excellent lodging resistance, as well as tolerance to common corn diseases such as helminthosporium, blister, and gray leaf spot. Additionally, P9578 exhibits high resistance to corn borer infestation, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss.
One of the key features of this hybrid is its high drought tolerance and rapid water release, enabling efficient water use and adaptation to various soil-climatic conditions. The recommended planting density before harvest depends on the moisture level: under adequate moisture, the optimal density is 70-75 thousand plants per hectare, while under insufficient moisture, it is 60-65 thousand. The hybrid is suitable for monoculture and minimum tillage, but not recommended for late harvest.
For successful cultivation of P9578, early or optimal planting dates should be followed, along with recommended planting densities. Post-emergence herbicides should be applied strictly according to plant development stages. Due to its agronomic traits and resistance to stress factors, the P9578 hybrid is suitable for cultivation across the entire territory of Ukraine, ensuring stable and high yields even under drought conditions.
