Vizir

Vizir is a medium-maturing, simple hybrid corn of Ukrainian selection with FAO 350, intended for grain production primarily in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. It is characterized by high initial growth intensity and rapid water shedding, making it one of the best in its group for these indicators. The vegetative period of the hybrid varies from 112 to 123 days depending on the natural zone, while plants reach a height of up to 240 cm and form a conical ear with 14-16 rows of dent-shaped yellow kernels, located at approximately 90 cm above the ground. The Vizir hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to various stress factors and diseases. On a nine-point scale, it demonstrates maximum resistance to drought, heat, short-term cold, lodging in the ripening phase and 30 days after, as well as to infestation by corn borer, common smut, and gray leaf blight. Additionally, Vizir tolerates the application of sulfonylurea herbicides without restrictions, which simplifies agronomic practices and enhances crop protection efficiency. The potential yield of the hybrid under favorable conditions in the forest-steppe zone reaches 161 centners per hectare, while in the steppe zone it ranges from 108 to 116 centners per hectare. The recommended plant density at harvest is 50-60 thousand per hectare for the forest-steppe, 40-45 thousand for the northern steppe, and 30-35 thousand for the southern steppe. Due to its adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions and high productivity, Vizir is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality corn harvest.
