DMS 1915

DMS 1915 is an early-maturing, simple hybrid of sweet corn, Ukrainian selection, intended for grain production. The hybrid features a conical-cylindrical ear shape with dentate yellow kernels and 14 to 16 rows per ear. Plant height reaches 250 cm, with ear attachment height around 95 cm. The hybrid exhibits moderate ability to form two ears per plant, contributing to higher yields. FAO index ranges from 190–230, confirming its classification as an early-maturing hybrid and enabling cultivation across various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions.

One of the key features of DMS 1915 is its high resistance to stress factors and diseases. The hybrid demonstrates high drought resistance (rating 9 out of 10), cold tolerance (8 out of 10), and resistance to diseases such as gray and white smut (both 8 out of 10) and corn earworm (9 out of 10). Minimum soil temperature for sowing seeds is +8–9 °C, allowing early planting. Rapid seed moisture release during maturation enhances production profitability, while the Stay Green effect maintains plant photosynthetic activity during late vegetative stages, positively impacting yield formation.

The DMS 1915 hybrid is recommended for cultivation using intensive agro-production technologies. Recommended planting density varies by region: 70–75 thousand plants per hectare for Polissia, 60–65 thousand for forest-steppe, and 55–60 thousand for steppe. Potential grain yield reaches 13.9 tons per hectare, making this hybrid an attractive choice for farmers seeking high productivity and crop resilience across diverse agro-climatic conditions.
