DMS 2911

DMS 2911 — this is a simple modified hybrid of sweet corn of Ukrainian selection, developed by the company "MAIS". The hybrid belongs to the mid-maturing group with a vegetative period ranging from 108 to 124 days depending on the natural zone of cultivation. Plants reach a height of up to 240 cm, and the ear has a cylindrical shape and is attached at a height of about 90 cm with high strength. The kernels are tooth-shaped and yellow, arranged in 16-18 rows. The hybrid has a medium genetic predisposition to form two ears per plant. DMS 2911 is characterized by high resistance to adverse environmental factors. It demonstrates maximum resistance to heat and drought, rated at 9 points, as well as resistance to short-term exposure to low temperatures. The hybrid is resistant to lodging, powdery mildew, corn borer, and has medium resistance to gray leaf spot. Additionally, it is resistant to sulfonylurea herbicides, which facilitates weed control during cultivation. The hybrid DMS 2911 is intended for cultivation in various natural zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. It is suitable for both grain production and silage use, ensuring high potential yields — up to 148 c/ha for grain and up to 855 c/ha for silage. The hybrid is characterized by medium initial growth energy and medium rate of grain drying, allowing efficient use under various agrotechnical conditions, including energy-saving technologies.
