Description Anjou 400
Anjou 400 is a mid-late maturing corn hybrid with FAO 400-410, intended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppe regions, forest-steppe, and Polesie. Plants reach a height of 220 to 260 cm, with ears set at approximately 110 cm. Grain is dent-shaped, rich yellow, with a 1000-grain weight ranging from 320-330 grams and rows per ear from 14 to 16. The vegetation period is 120 to 126 days, ensuring stable maturity in central and southern regions of the country.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield — grain yield reaches 13-16 tons per hectare, and silage yield can reach 38-91 tons per hectare depending on the region. Anjou 400 has good germination, high plant uniformity, and moderate early growth vigor. It is resistant to lodging, ensuring yield preservation at all growth stages. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high heat and drought tolerance, as well as spring cold resistance.

Anjou 400 exhibits high tolerance to major corn diseases such as helminthosporium, downy mildew, and powdery mildew, and is resistant to stalk rot and stalk breakage. The hybrid is not susceptible to pests and responds well to various agronomic practices, including resource-saving and low-energy cultivation techniques. Thanks to these qualities, Anjou 400 is suitable for both grain and silage use, making it a versatile choice for agro-industrial enterprises.
