Description Ankora
Corn hybrid Ankora is a three-line hybrid with a vegetation period ranging from 112 to 124 days. Plants reach a height of 1.7 to 2 meters and are characterized by resistance to adverse weather conditions and lack of lodging. Ears have a conical-cylindrical shape, measuring 18 to 22 cm in length and weighing 250 to 350 grams, with 16 to 18 rows of kernels. Kernels feature a yellow tip and an orange hue at the base, possessing high sweetness and exceptional flavor qualities both raw and boiled. Yield of the Ankora hybrid is high and varies by growing region: in the Steppe it reaches 63.1 c/ha, in the Forest Steppe — 90.3 c/ha, with guaranteed yield increases of 11.3 and 23.5 c/ha respectively. The milling yield of processed grain is 77–80%, and starch content in kernels ranges from 72–76%. The hybrid shows tolerance to diseases such as common smut and helminthosporium, contributing to stable and high-quality harvests. Ankora is suitable for fresh market use as well as processing, including canning and freezing. The plant has a medium-late flowering and silk emergence time, and distinctive anthocyanin coloration on various plant parts, which is a unique feature of the hybrid. Due to its high flavor qualities and versatility, corn Ankora is an excellent choice for farmers and food producers.
