Antares

Corn Antares is a medium-maturing hybrid of Ukrainian selection with FAO 350, intended for cultivation as grain or silage. This hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 165 centners per hectare, and possesses very high drought resistance, making it especially valuable for regions with insufficient moisture. Plants reach a height of about 280 cm, with the ear positioned at 110 cm. Grain is cream-colored, toothed, with 1000-grain weight around 320 g and moisture content at harvest of 15-16%. Due to its high initial growth energy, Antares develops quickly even under adverse weather conditions. The Antares hybrid is resistant to various diseases and stress factors, including high tolerance to stalk and ear fusarium, helminthosporiosis, and gray leaf spot. It also exhibits high resistance to lodging and drought, confirmed by ratings of 9 out of 9. The hybrid is well-adapted for cultivation in monoculture and suitable for various soil preparation technologies, including conventional, minimal, and zero tillage. Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture levels: from 65-70 thousand plants per hectare in areas with insufficient moisture to 75-85 thousand plants per hectare in areas with adequate moisture.
