DMC 4011 — this is a medium-late, simple interline hybrid of sweet corn with FAO maturity group 400, developed by the Ukrainian company MAIS. The hybrid is intended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Southern and Northern steppes, forest-steppe, and Polesie. It is characterized by high yield both for grain, reaching 104.9 to 161.9 c/ha, and for silage — from 380 to 910 c/ha. The vegetation period lasts from 120 to 126 days depending on the region of cultivation. The recommended planting density varies depending on the zone and ranges from 30,000 to 70,000 plants per hectare. Plants of the DMC 4011 hybrid have an average height of about 260 cm, and ears are positioned at approximately 110 cm from the base of the stem. The grain has a dentiform shape and a rich yellow color, with row numbers ranging from 14 to 16. The hybrid demonstrates good germination, high plant uniformity, and moderate growth energy in early development stages. It is resistant to lodging at all growth stages, has moderate moisture loss during ripening, facilitating harvest. DMC 4011 exhibits high resistance to adverse temperature conditions, including spring temperature drops and summer heat, and is also relatively insensitive to drought and water deficiency. The hybrid shows high tolerance to major corn diseases, such as helminthosporium, powdery mildew, and blister rust, and is not susceptible to insect pests. It responds well to various agronomic practices and is adapted to resource-saving cultivation technologies, making it a versatile and reliable choice for farmers focused on grain, silage, and feed production.
