Corn Dnipro 309 MV is a high-tech, simple modified hybrid with medium-early maturity (FAO 290), intended for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia zones. This hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to major diseases such as common smut and stalk rot, as well as good drought tolerance, ensuring stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. Thanks to its high plasticity and resistance to dense planting, Dnipro 309 MV is suitable for various agronomic practices and growing conditions.
According to morphobiological characteristics, the hybrid reaches a height of 220-250 cm, does not bush, and is resistant to lodging. The cylindrical ear, about 20 cm long, is attached at a height of 80-90 cm from the ground, contains 16-18 rows of kernels, with 36-40 kernels per row. The kernels are dent type, yellow-orange in color, with a 1000-kernel weight of approximately 280-300 g. The plant's stalk has a red color, which is a distinctive feature of this hybrid.
Dnipro 309 MV is versatile in use: it can be grown for grain or silage. Grain yield reaches 120-125 centners per hectare, and silage yield reaches 580-630 centners per hectare. The hybrid is characterized by rapid grain drying at maturity, which facilitates harvest and reduces losses. All these qualities make Dnipro 309 MV a reliable choice for farmers seeking high and stable corn yields under various climatic conditions in Ukraine.
