PRISURSKIY

The Meadow Clover variety Prisurskiy is a diploid variety created by the complex hybrid population method based on single-crop varieties Penza 1, Primorsky 28, Mordovskiy, and Biiskiy local. This variety is characterized by medium maturity with a vegetative period from the start of regrowth to the first cut of 62-87 days and to full seed maturity of 108-128 days. The bushes are upright with a stem height of 70-80 cm, medium bushiness, and high foliation (67-72%). The mass of 1000 seeds is about 1.7 g.

Prisurskiy is distinguished by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, which ensures stable productivity in various climatic conditions. Average dry matter yield reaches 37.4 c/ha, and with two cuts in field crop rotation — about 6.4 t/ha. Seed yield is approximately 0.31 t/ha. Crude protein content in dry matter is within 18-20%, and fiber does not exceed 23-25%. The variety is affected by clover scab and anthracnose to a moderate degree.

Prisurskiy is used for various purposes: for seeds, green top-dressing, silage, grass meal, hay, as well as as a cover crop. Thanks to intensive regrowth after mowing and high nutritional value, it is well eaten by all types of livestock. The variety is recommended for effective application in field and feed crop rotations with a productive life duration of up to three years and is an excellent half-stubble predecessor for winter crops.
