FALENSKY 86

Falenksy 86 is a variety of red meadow clover developed by the Federal Agricultural Scientific Center of the North-East named after N.V. Rudnitsky. It belongs to medium-late single-cut varieties capable of forming a second cut under favorable conditions. Bushes are upright and semi-sprawling, with tall (up to 95 cm) and branched stems of medium coarseness. Leaves are rounded and ovate, with a bright arrow-shaped pattern and slightly pubescent. Inflorescences are represented by pink-red rounded heads, while seeds have a yellow-violet color and ovoid-kidney-shaped form. The average number of internodes is 7–8.

The variety's maturation period ranges from 67 to 71 days to flowering and 110–112 days to seed maturity. Maximum dry matter yield reaches 15 tons per hectare, while seeds yield 4.4 centners per hectare. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 2.0 to 2.2 grams. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness (90–100%) and moderate susceptibility to anthracnose. Crude protein content in dry matter is 16–18%, and fiber content is 23–25%.

Falenksy 86 is recommended for use as green feed for up to three years and for seeds for one year. It is an excellent predecessor for grain crops and flax. Thanks to simultaneous flowering and good leaf coverage, this variety ensures stable productivity and feed quality, making it in demand in agricultural production.
