ES Maximum

The «ЕС Maximum» variety is a mid-season, small-grained lentil with a plant height of about 34 cm and a vegetative period of approximately 92 days. The grain is characterized by a gray hull, a weight of 40 g per 1000 grains, and a high protein content – 32 %. Thanks to resistance to ashitosis (8), anthracnose (7), and powdery mildew (8), as well as good resistance to cracking, this variety ensures a stable yield even under moderate climatic stress. Potential yield reaches 4.5 t/ha, making it attractive for both commercial cultivation and food purposes.

The physico-chemical properties of «ЕС Maximum» grain allow it to be used as a high-protein groat. Seeds contain about 35 % protein, 2.6 % oil, and 61 % starch, making the product suitable for flour, groats, and other food production. The high protein content ensures nutritional value, while low moisture (12 %) contributes to long-term storage without quality loss.

The variety shows good adaptation to various soil conditions: chernozems with pH around 7.0 are optimal, but the plant also demonstrates drought resistance and heat tolerance up to +60 °C. It tolerates spring frosts and low temperatures down to –10 °C, allowing cultivation in a wide geographical zone from forest-steppe to steppe. With proper agro-technical care, including timely harrowing, weed and thistle control, and application of phosphorus-potassium and nitrogen fertilizers, yield can reach 30 cents per hectare.

Thus, «ЕС Maximum» is a highly efficient lentil variety combining excellent agro-technical characteristics, rich protein composition, and resistance to main biotic and abiotic stresses. This makes it in demand for both food production and agricultural feed.
