KDC REDCOT

KDC REDCOT is an intensive technologically advanced variety of red lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) with high yield and excellent agronomic characteristics. Plant height ranges from 24 to 57 cm, while strong branching ensures a dense sowing structure. The variety is characterized by good resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought, making it suitable for a wide range of climatic conditions.

Seeds of the variety are small, convex, gray in color without a pattern, with orange cotyledons. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 35 to 47 grams, and protein content reaches up to 27%, which increases its nutritional value and makes the product in demand in cooking. Medium-early maturation and a growing season of 70–93 days.

To protect against pests and diseases, single seed treatments with a fungicide and insecticide are applied, as well as one fungicide treatment during the growing season. The variety demonstrates moderate resistance to ascchytosis and anthracnose, which reduces the need for frequent chemical interventions. KDC REDCOT is recommended for food use as split, dehulled, and whole, thanks to high culinary evaluation and product value.
