Danaya

The «Danaya» lentil variety is a valuable crop that is successfully grown in all climatic zones. It belongs to medium-early varieties with a growth period of 61 to 83 days and plant height from 27 to 61 cm. The cotyledons of the variety are yellow, and the seeds are medium-sized, flat, yellow-green without pattern, with a 1000-seed mass of 59–83 g.

«Danaya» is characterized by high yield: in the Tambov region, indicators up to 39.2 c/ha were recorded, which exceeds standard norms by several tens of percent. The average yield is about 22.8 c/ha, while the plant demonstrates resistance to lodging, shattering, and pod cracking – all indicators are rated at 5 points. Seeds have excellent technological properties: protein content up to 27.9 % (N×6.25), fat from 1.5 % to 1.8 %, cooking time 48–54 minutes, and good size uniformity.

For growing «Danaya», it is recommended to use chernozem and chestnut soils, apply micro-fertilizers and biopreparations. Sowing rate – 2 – 2.2 million viable seeds per hectare, sowing method – row or inter-row during early spring planting. The plant is easily harvested mechanized and does not show signs of disease during trials. Due to its moderate drought-resistant nature and synchronous flowering, the «Danaya» variety is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high yields and quality products.
