ZAFIRO carrot belongs to mid-season varieties with a maturation period from germination to harvest of about 110-125 days. This variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 760 centners per hectare, with root mass varying from 90 to 180 grams and a length of about 16-20 cm. The roots have a conical shape, smooth surface, and bright orange flesh with excellent taste qualities and high sugar content—about 6.9%. Beta-carotene content is also quite high, making the carrot nutritious and healthy. ZAFIRO is resistant to major carrot diseases as well as bolting, ensuring a stable yield even under drought and hot summer conditions. The variety is suitable for open-ground cultivation, including in the Moscow region, with planting in late May to early June. Thanks to good storability and resistance to damage, the carrot retains its qualities during long-term storage, making it versatile for various uses. ZAFIRO carrot is recommended for fresh consumption, processing, juice preparation, dietary food, and baby purees. It is also suitable for canning and mechanical harvesting.
