Carrot Naval F1 is a medium-maturing hybrid of the Nantes type, developed by the Dutch company Bejo Zaden. This variety is distinguished by its high yield and adaptability to various climatic conditions, making it popular among Ukrainian farmers. The period from germination to technical maturity is approximately 116-120 days, after which up to 12 kg of quality root crops can be harvested per square meter. Carrot Naval F1 is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected environments, expanding its application possibilities.

The root crops have a cylindrical shape with a blunt tip, colored in a rich dark-orange hue. The length of the fruits varies from 18 to 22 cm, the diameter from 3 to 3.5 cm, and the weight ranges from 100 to 200 g. The flesh of the carrot is sweet, juicy, and has an excellent taste, making it highly sought after for fresh consumption. The sugar content reaches 8-9%, and carotene content up to 15-15.5 mg per 100 g of dry matter, ensuring high nutritional value and beneficial properties of the product.

The hybrid is resistant to various diseases and pests, as well as to root cracking, which contributes to maintaining the quality of the harvest during transportation and long-term storage. For successful cultivation of Carrot Naval F1, seeds should be sown at the end of April to early May at a depth of about 1 cm with row spacing of 18-20 cm, and after emergence, thinning should be performed, leaving 5-6 cm between plants. The plant prefers sunny, wind-protected areas and requires moderate watering, application of mineral fertilizers, soil loosening, and weed removal. The harvest can be collected manually or with specialized machinery, and the root crops are suitable for processing into juices and infant food.
