Description New Kuroda AS
Carrot variety New Kuroda is a productive and adaptable type of Chantenay, suitable for various growing conditions. The roots are conical with a blunt tip, reaching about 18 cm in length and approximately 6 cm in diameter. They feature a rich, uniform orange color, smooth surface, and small core, providing an excellent sweet flavor. This variety has a strong leaf canopy, enabling efficient mechanical harvesting.

The vegetation period ranges from 80 to 95 days, making it an early variety suitable for second crop cultivation, especially in hot regions. New Kuroda carrots are resistant to bolting and splitting, quickly adapt to changing growing conditions, and demonstrate high productivity. Seeds germinate well in various soil types; however, it is recommended to plant no more than 1 gram per square meter.

The harvested crop can be used for fresh market sales, culinary purposes, as well as for processing into juices and purees. Carrots harvested in September–October retain their flavor qualities well and can be stored for 4–6 months. The variety is produced by Asia Seed Co., Ltd. from Korea and has Dutch origin through Bakker Brothers.
