Morcel Bazel F1 is a mid-late hybrid developed by Bejo Zaden, with a vegetative period from germination to full maturity of about 117-120 days. This variety is characterized by high yield, reaching from 3.8 to 7 kg per square meter, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. The leaf rosette is semi-spreading, and the roots have a cylindrical shape with a blunt tip, characteristic of the Berlukum/Nantes type. The length of the roots exceeds 15 cm, and the weight varies from 90 to 190 grams.

The main advantages of Morcel Bazel lie in its high market and taste qualities. The roots are distinguished by uniform sizes, bright orange color of the peel and core, as well as a robust structure, resistant to brittleness. High sugar and carotene content ensures excellent taste, making the carrots suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for making juices and baby purees. Moreover, the variety has long storage periods without loss of market qualities, which is important for marketing and storing the harvest.

Morcel Bazel F1 is also characterized by resistance to most diseases and pests, which reduces the need for intensive plant protection. High foliage and strong roots allow for efficient mechanical harvesting. For planting, it is recommended to sow seeds in the soil at the end of April – beginning of May at a depth of about 1 cm with rows 18-20 cm apart, and after the appearance of seedlings to thin out, leaving 5-6 cm between plants. This approach provides optimal conditions for plant growth and development, contributing to obtaining a high and quality harvest.
