NATELLA

NATELLA — a mid-late hybrid of the carrot Nantais variety type, characterized by high rootstock quality and excellent taste properties. The period from germination to technical maturity is 130-135 days. The rootstocks have a cylindrical shape with a blunt tip, 20-22 cm in length, a smooth surface, and a rich bright-orange color without a green top. Due to increased sugar content (9-10%) and high carotene levels, the carrot is distinguished by its sweet taste and high nutritional value, making it an indispensable source of vitamins and beneficial substances for health. The NATELLA hybrid is recommended for cultivation on light, well-aerated, and slightly acidic soils that should not be overmoistened or contain fresh organic fertilizers. The optimal sowing time is the first half of May, with a seed sowing depth of 1-2 cm and a 20x4 cm scheme. Carrots do not tolerate cold soil, so they are not suitable for early sowings. For normal development, the plant requires an adequate amount of potassium, while excess nitrogen and moisture can slow rootstock growth. Care includes thinning, weeding, and loosening interrows. NATELLA is excellent for long-term winter storage up to 8 months, maintaining bright color and taste qualities even after washing. This variety is versatile in application: it can be consumed fresh, used for canning, freezing, as well as for the production of bunch products and juice. The rootstocks are neat and uniform, requiring careful manual harvesting, especially on light and well-warmed soils, where the hybrid shows the best results.
