Carrot NANTSKA KHARKIVSKA.

Reliable Yields for Long-Term Storage

The «Nantska Kharkivska» variety is a go-to solution for growers focusing on the fresh produce market during the autumn-winter season. Developed by the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the NAAS, this variety is prized for its exceptional storability, helping commercial farms minimize losses when storing crops until spring.

Agronomic Performance and Harvesting

With a maturity cycle of 100–110 days, this mid-season variety allows for efficient planning of harvest operations. It produces uniform cylindrical roots weighing 142–150 grams and reaching 10–18 cm in length. The classic Nante-type shape is ideal for mechanized harvesting, washing, and automated packaging lines, ensuring consistent output for retail supply chains.

Key Benefits for Modern Farms:

• Proven track record of yield stability under varying field conditions.
• Excellent resistance to root cracking, ensuring high-quality commercial appearance.
• Vibrant orange flesh, a hallmark of the Nante-type carrot group.
• High storability, allowing farmers to wait for optimal market price points.

To maximize production potential, this variety performs best in loose, well-tilled soil with consistent drip irrigation. Proper soil preparation is essential to ensure the root development remains uniform and free from deformation, which is crucial for maximizing the percentage of high-grade marketable yield.
