Nirvana carrot is a mid-late season hybrid of the nantaise type, distinguished by high yield and resistance to cracking and bolting. The root crops have a bright orange color, cylindrical shape with a slight taper and a slightly pointed base, measuring 16 to 20 cm in length and weighing between 110 and 180 grams. Leaves are dark green, very long, and medium-cut, forming a semi-spreading rosette. The variety is suitable for growing in open ground and is characterized by uniform root crops, making it attractive for commercial production and personal farms.
The dry matter content in the root crops ranges from 10.5% to 14.4%, total sugar varies from 5.6% to 8.3%, and carotene content reaches 12.3 mg per 100 g of raw product. These figures ensure good and excellent taste qualities, as well as high nutritional value. Nirvana carrot is suitable for both fresh consumption and winter storage, expanding its usage possibilities for various culinary purposes.
The commercial yield of the variety is in the range of 266 to 754 centners per hectare, which is 57-91 centners higher than standard Nantaise 4 and F1 Dordogne varieties, with maximum yield indicators reaching 1085 centners per hectare. The yield of commercial product is between 76% and 88%. The sowing rate of seeds is 0.8-1.2 million pieces per hectare. Seeds are supplied in a fine professional packaging, which is convenient for farmers and experienced gardeners engaged in growing carrots in small volumes.
