The Centaur carrot variety is a medium-early, high-yield variety belonging to the Chantenay root shape group. The roots have a slightly conical shape, about 20 cm long and weighing approximately 150-250 grams. They feature a smooth surface and a rich orange-red color with a small core. The flesh is juicy and very sweet, providing excellent taste qualities. The plant forms a semi-spreading leaf rosette with long green medium-cut leaves. The variety is resistant to flowering, which increases its reliability when growing.

Centaur is suitable for industrial cultivation in large volumes both in protected ground and open ground conditions. It grows well on heavy soils and is recommended for fresh consumption, processing, and long-term storage. Thanks to the medium-early maturing period, carrots can be harvested at the end of summer or early autumn, allowing for use both for the fresh market and winter storage.

This carrot variety is characterized by its unpretentiousness in cultivation and good adaptation to various climatic conditions. Centaur carrots possess high resistance to adverse factors, including light frosts, which allows roots to be stored directly in open ground until the first frosts. Thanks to the rich color and high content of Vitamin A and beta-carotene, this variety is not only tasty but also a useful product.
