Carrot NANTSKAYA

Professional standards for carrot production

The Nanko carrot hybrid from the French breeder Vilmorin-Mikado is designed to meet the rigorous demands of commercial agriculture. As a classic Nantes-type variety, it provides the precise uniformity and quality that modern retail chains require, making it a cornerstone for crop rotation planning.

Practical application and agronomic benefits

Farmers select Nanko for its operational flexibility, particularly for those looking to optimize their land usage across different seasons:

• Early Production (Under Film): With a maturity period of 70-80 days, Nanko is an excellent choice for early harvesting. It allows producers to hit the high-margin early market windows with high-quality, vibrant orange roots.
• Long-term Storage: Beyond its early performance, Nanko is renowned for its storability. The roots, weighing 80-100 grams and measuring 15-20 cm, maintain structural integrity and shelf life during extended storage periods. This enables growers to market their produce long after the harvest season has ended.

Nanko’s cylindrical shape and smooth skin are not just aesthetic traits; they are functional advantages that facilitate efficient mechanical harvesting, washing, and automatic packing. By integrating Nanko into the crop cycle, producers achieve a predictable output, reducing risks associated with inconsistent quality or storage spoilage. It is a robust, well-balanced hybrid for businesses seeking consistent commercial success.
