Description Nevis F1
Nevis F1 carrot is a high-yielding mid-late maturing hybrid of the Nantes type with a maturity period of about 115 days. The roots have a narrowly cylindrical shape, length from 15 to 20 cm, and weight from 110 to 170 grams, with a rich orange color and excellent taste qualities. The flesh has a high content of dry matter (15.9%), sugar (10%), and carotene (19.9 mg per 100 g of raw product), making this variety especially valuable for fresh consumption and processing. The hybrid is characterized by high root uniformity, good storability, and disease resistance, ensuring long-term storage and maintenance of quality.

One unique feature of Nevis F1 is the use of seeds in gel-coated pellets, which significantly improves germination conditions. The gel coating retains moisture and creates an optimal microclimate around the seed, allowing seedlings to withstand drought and lack of watering for 2-3 weeks after planting. This reduces the need for frequent watering and protects seeds from overwatering during heavy rains. This technology ensures high germination and reliable planting even under adverse weather conditions.

The Nevis F1 hybrid is suitable for cultivation on various soil types, including heavy and chernozem soils, and tolerates late sowing. It is recommended for open-field cultivation with mechanized harvesting, as the roots do not break and retain high quality. The recommended planting scheme is 20 cm apart with rows 4 cm apart, planting depth 1-2 cm. Best preceding crops for planting are cabbage, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and early potatoes. Due to its characteristics and agronomic advantages, Nevis F1 carrot is an excellent choice for early harvest, fresh market supply, and long-term storage.
