Hannahs Choice blueberry is a tall American variety, distinguished by early ripening and a robust yet compact bush up to 1.7 meters high. The bush forms long, moderately dense fruiting clusters and has strong growth vigor. This variety is self-fertile and does not require pollinators, though yield increases with the presence of other varieties. Fruit ripening occurs annually and uniformly, usually over 3-4 harvests, ensuring a stable and abundant yield.

Hannahs Choice berries are large, 2 to 3 cm in diameter, with dense, juicy pale flesh and a delicate aroma. They have a dark blue color with a bright waxy bloom, giving them an attractive appearance throughout the fruiting period. Berry weight varies from 1.8 to 3 grams; they are slightly flattened, with a tough skin and dry detachment from the calyx, preventing drop. The flavor is sweet, harmonious, and dessert-like, making them suitable for fresh consumption as well as preservation and thermal processing, including baking.

The variety is highly resistant to diseases and pests, and also exhibits high cold tolerance — it withstands temperatures down to -30°C, making it suitable for cultivation in northern regions. Hannahs Choice blueberries prefer sunny locations with fertile, well-drained, acidic soils, and regular watering. Yield from one mature bush reaches up to 7 kilograms, making this variety attractive for both amateur and commercial cultivation.
