EFSI 12 205 – a tallblueberry, reaching up to 2 m in height and featuring a vigorous, spreading bush. Berries ripen in late summer, typically from mid-July to early August, making the variety suitable for mechanical harvesting. The berries are medium-sized (about 2 g), have an oblate shape, dark blue color, and firm flesh covered with a thin waxy bloom.
The variety is distinguished by high yield – up to 6–8 kg per plant under optimal conditions. The internal composition of the berries is characterized by sugar content of about 10 %, vitamin C ≈ 9.7 % and acids 0.6 %. The bushes tolerate both cold temperatures (do not drop below -6 °C for an extended period) and drought, while being resistant to various diseases and root rot.
EFSI 12 205 prefers sunny locations and moist, well-drained, fertile soils. The foliage is wide, egg-shaped, dark green with a gray-green underside. Flowering occurs in June–July, with white or pale pink flowers gathered in umbel-like clusters up to 10 cm in diameter. The berries can be consumed fresh thanks to the firm skin and pleasant taste.
