DRIPPER

Dripper – an upright blueberry bush up to 1.5 m high and about 1 m wide, characterized by vigorous growth and moderate branching. The bush contains many canes, ensuring a bountiful crop.

Dripper berries are 1.1–1.4 cm long and 15–19 mm in diameter, with an average fruit weight of about 1.6 grams. They are light blue in color with a thin dry cuticle, clustered in loose bunches. Thanks to their thick skin, berries transport well and keep for a long time, and are also suitable for freezing, making jams, jellies, and yogurts.

The variety has high frost hardiness down to –29 °C (USDA Zone 5) and is disease-resistant. Dripper ripens about five days earlier than the Bluecrop variety, allowing for faster harvest. Self-pollination is possible, but if bushes of another variety are nearby, the yield increases and berries become larger. To ensure optimal growth, protection against moniliosis is recommended.

Dripper is suitable for mechanized harvesting due to the size and structure of the berries, and also provides good taste and aroma, making it a popular choice for both home consumption and commercial production.
