Rikla is a variety of strawberry (cloudberry) with early ripening, intended for table use. The plant is medium-sized, with a spherical bush shape and well-leafed light-green leaves of medium size. The leaf blades have medium crinkliness, are weakly ribbed and hairy, with sharp teeth. The flower stalks are located at the level of the leaves, they are thick and densely hairy, forming semi-spreading multi-flowered inflorescences with large white bisexual flowers. Whorls are formed in an average amount, they are medium in size, green and medium-hairy. The berries of the Rikla variety are conical in shape, neckless, red in color with a pleasant sweet taste. The flesh is light-pink, juicy and dense. The average mass of berries varies from 19 to 38 grams, on average about 29 grams. The berries contain up to 7% sugars, about 0.75-1% acid and up to 64 mg% of vitamin C, which ensures high nutritional value and an attractive taste. The variety belongs to the short daylength (SDL) type and has one wave of fruiting, lacking remontancy. Rikla is characterized by high winter hardiness and heat tolerance, as well as medium drought tolerance. Maximum yield on good soil reaches 170-175 centners per hectare. Resistance to diseases and pests is at the level of standard varieties, which makes it a reliable choice for growing in the North Caucasus region and similar climatic conditions.
