Highbush blueberry "Taiga Beauty" is a variety valued both for home gardening and agricultural plantings. The bushes are compact and medium-sized, reaching a height of 50–60 cm, but can grow up to two meters with proper care. They are branched and long-lived – capable of living over a hundred years, which makes them attractive for landscape design and fruit orchards.
The fruiting characteristics of the variety make it particularly in demand: the berries are large, weighing from 0.5 to 1.0 g, dark blue with a bluish bloom, sweet-sour in taste and without a strong aroma. Yield is high – from 0.8 to 2.1 kg per bush, and it fruits regularly starting from the third year after planting. Bushes are resistant to most diseases (rust, gray mold) and pests, possess frost hardiness and moisture lovingness.
For growing "Taiga Beauty", loam and podzolic soil are preferable. The plant prefers light or shade, but grows particularly well in partial shade. The maturity period of the fruit is 3–4 years after planting, and the flowering period begins in May. Due to its characteristics, this variety is suitable both for fruit orchards and for decorative use in landscape design.
