Blue Mountain is a high-yield blueberry variety with large, juicy berries weighing 1 to 2 grams, featuring a bright blue color covered with a waxy bloom. Bushes reach a height of 1–1.5 meters, having a spreading branch structure, making them decoratively attractive in gardens or on homesteads. Fruiting begins in July and continues until August, allowing berries to be harvested over an extended period.
The variety is distinguished by resistance to major diseases – powdery mildew, gray mold – as well as pests, ensuring a stable yield even under unfavorable conditions. Blue Mountain withstands frosts down to -25 °C, making it suitable for cultivation in various climate zones. Seedlings adapt easily both in open ground and containers, making them convenient for gardeners and farmers.
Berries of this variety have a sweet taste with a slight tartness and a rich aroma, containing vitamins and trace elements beneficial for vision, blood vessels, and blood sugar regulation. Thanks to high yield – up to 5–10 kg of berries per bush – they are suitable for both home consumption and making jam, compote, and other dishes. The variety enters regular fruiting already in the third year of cultivation, making it an economically advantageous choice for gardeners.
