Blueberry Bliukrop Dol

A Reliable Choice for Ukrainian Berry Growers

«Bluecrop Dol» is a breeding achievement by the company «Dolyna-Ahro», registered in 2013. The variety is specifically adapted to the climatic conditions of the Polissya and Forest-Steppe zones, making it a predictable and stable tool for commercial blueberry cultivation in Ukraine.

Key Variety Features

• Growth Habit and Architecture: The plant is characterized by strong growth and an upright bush structure. This significantly simplifies mechanized harvesting and plantation maintenance.
• Berry Quality: The fruits are large, round, with firm skin and a moderate waxy bloom. The dark blue color after the bloom is removed gives the berry a high market appeal, while its firmness ensures excellent transportability.
• Flavor Profile: The variety is characterized by a pronounced acidity combined with moderate sweetness, making it an ideal candidate for processing and freezing, although it is also perfectly suitable for fresh consumption.
• Agrotechnics: Fruiting occurs primarily on the previous year's growth. To achieve high yields, it is critical to maintain soil acidity in the pH 3.5–4.5 range and ensure regular irrigation.

Unlike many foreign counterparts, «Bluecrop Dol» has undergone state registration in Ukraine, confirming its adaptation to local temperature regimes and light conditions. The mid-season ripening period allows farmers to effectively plan harvest logistics, avoiding peak labor demands associated with early or late varieties.
