The 'Nektarna' blueberry variety is the result of long-term research at the Central Botanical Garden of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where it was bred and recognized as highly valuable due to its winter hardiness and disease resistance. Medium-sized bushes (50–70 cm) have a weakly spreading structure, which facilitates care and ensures good fruit illumination.
'Nektarna' berries are large, oval-shaped, dark blue with a dusty bloom. They are juicy, tart-sweet, without a strong aroma, yet possess a delicate taste and pleasant texture. Berries weigh an average of 0.6–1.0 g, with a yield of 0.4–0.9 kg per bush, making the variety especially attractive for commercial cultivation.
The variety boasts high winter hardiness: bushes can withstand low temperatures without losing fruiting capacity. Thanks to this, 'Nektarna' is suitable for both open beds and greenhouses where cold resistance is required. Simplified growing conditions allow for a harvest of 0.2–0.9 kg/m², and with proper care, up to 4–6 kg from a single bush. This makes the variety a versatile and economically advantageous choice for gardeners and farmers.
