Bentgrass NEZHNAIA

Selection heritage for a perfect lawn

The 'Nezhnaya' bentgrass is a product of years of dedicated work by leading plant breeders, combining the expertise of the Vavilov Research Institute and the 'Rossiyskie Semena' Research and Production Firm. The development of this variety addresses the market's demand for high-quality lawn cover that balances visual appeal with resilience to local climatic conditions.

Scientific approach to turf

The originator of this variety is the Federal Research Center Vavilov Institute, in collaboration with the Yekaterininskaya Experimental Station and the 'Dachnaya Akademiya'. Such a robust breeding foundation ensures high seed purity and predictable crop performance. Unlike wild species, 'Nezhnaya' is specifically adapted to form a dense, uniform carpet that maintains an attractive appearance throughout the entire growing season.

Areas of application

Due to its ability to form a thick turf with fine, delicate stems, this variety is ideal for creating ornamental parterre lawns. Key features that make 'Nezhnaya' indispensable where aesthetics are a priority include:

• Creation of a low-growing, dense turf that requires minimal maintenance.
• Strong competitiveness against weeds due to intensive tillering.
• High visual appeal, justifying the name 'Nezhnaya' (Gentle/Delicate) through its soft surface texture.

Using this variety from the 'Rossiyskie Semena' firm allows landscapers to achieve a 'velvet' finish that remains resistant to mechanical stress when properly mowed and watered. 'Nezhnaya' is the choice for those who prioritize scientific reliability and the longevity of their lawn cover.
