Creeping bentgrass T‑1 – a premium variety created for creating emerald, fluffy lawns with dense turf texture and narrow leaves. Flower dark green, height up to 15 cm, forms two–three tier carpet, which quickly spreads due to intensive tiller growth.
Variety T‑1 grows well on sandy, loamy, clay loam and even saline soils, but prefers garden, well-fertilized soils with good drainage. Moisture is important in the first year of development – the plant is moisture-loving, however tolerates full shade and sunny places. In deep shade growth decreases.
Care for creeping bentgrass is simple: seeds are sown at a depth of 0.5–1 cm, and if necessary can be propagated vegetatively – by cutting shoots 5–8 cm long with two–three internodes and spreading them over prepared soil. Lawn does not require regular mowing; enough cosmetic mowing of old or dead shoots 3–4 times per season, as well as periodic airing of the turf to prevent rotting.
Creeping bentgrass T‑1 is suitable both for lawns with intensive maintenance (e.g., golf courses), as well as for decorative lawns. Thanks to its dense structure and resistance to low mowing down to 3 mm, it provides durable and aesthetically pleasing coverage.
