Bentgrass L 93

A Professional Standard for Golf Greens

The L 93 creeping bentgrass from the American breeding company Jacklin Seed has firmly established itself in the premium sports turf market. Unlike many varieties focused solely on aesthetics, this product was engineered for heavy-duty performance. It is the top choice for golf course professionals (greens and tee boxes) where uniform coverage, consistent mowing speed, and low-cut tolerance are non-negotiable requirements.

Agronomic Advantages

• Enhanced Disease Resistance: Breeders focused on robust natural immunity. L 93 shows significant resistance to anthracnose, brown patch, and dollar spot. This significantly lowers fungicide expenditure, even in high-humidity climates.
• Rapid Recovery: The creeping growth habit allows L 93 to aggressively fill in divots and thin spots, making it ideal for high-traffic sports areas.
• Aesthetic Density: It develops a dense, dark green sward that visually outperforms standard amenity grass mixtures.

Operational Considerations

L 93 is a precision tool for professional groundskeepers. Its main strength lies in reliability: it performs consistently throughout the entire growing season. However, it is essential to recognize its professional nature. Management requirements, specifically for irrigation and mowing height, are more stringent compared to common park grasses. The variety is nitrogen-demanding; therefore, strict adherence to a mineral fertilization schedule is necessary to achieve tournament-grade conditions.

If your goal is to establish a professional-level surface that won't succumb to fungal pressure at the first sign of stress, L 93 by Jacklin Seed remains one of the most reliable and proven solutions available on the market today.
