RUSSIAN BOGATYR

The Basil variety "Russian Bogatyr" represents a mix of mid-season varieties with large green and purple leaves, possessing a rich aroma and a pleasant clove flavor. The plants form neat bushes ranging in height from 30 to 60 cm, making them not only a valuable culinary ingredient but also an attractive decorative element for the kitchen interior. The high content of essential oils gives the basil a thick and rich aroma, which perfectly complements salads, soups, dishes from fish and meat, and also goes well with garlic sauces.

This variety is distinguished by its resistance to unfavorable conditions and rapid maturation—the first leaves can be harvested as early as 40-50 days after germination. Cultivation is possible both by seedling method and direct sowing in open ground. Sowing for seedlings is recommended to be carried out at the end of March—beginning of April, and planting in the ground—at the beginning of June, adhering to a planting scheme of 30x30 cm. For successful growth, basil prefers well-structured, humus-rich soils and requires regular watering.

In addition to culinary application, basil "Russian Bogatyr" possesses tonic properties and contributes to improved digestion. Its universality and decorative qualities make this variety an excellent choice for growing in various regions and conditions, including container culture.
