Description RUSSIAN GIANT GREEN
RUSSIAN GIANT GREEN — an early-maturing variety of large-leafed basil with green, juicy leaves of impressive size. The plant reaches a height of 50-60 cm and features an upright growth habit. The leaves offer a pleasant clove flavor and a spicy aroma that adds zest to salads, soups, and other dishes, harmoniously complementing fish, meat, and garlic sauces. Thanks to its tonic properties, basil aids digestion and can be used fresh, dried, as a seasoning, or for winter canning.

Basil can be grown via seedlings or direct sowing outdoors. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in late March to early April, while direct sowing should be done in May or early June. Seedling transplanting into the ground occurs in early June, following a planting scheme of 30x30 cm. The plant prefers well-structured, humus-rich soils and requires regular watering for proper development.

During the season, up to three harvests of greens can be obtained from one bush, totaling up to 1.5 kg per square meter of area. The variety is suitable for cultivation not only in open ground but also in greenhouses or on window sills, making it versatile and convenient for various growing conditions.
