Atlant Myronivskyi — this is a high-protein winter barley variety of the two-row type, recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe regions. It belongs to the medium-maturing group with a vegetation period of 240–255 days. The variety is characterized by high yield potential, reaching up to 8.85 t/ha, as well as high protein content in grain — from 12.3% to 14.5%. The thousand-grain weight ranges from 52–57.2 g, indicating large grain size and high grain quality.
The plant reaches a height of up to 93 cm, has a two-row, loose, semi-erect, pyramid-shaped ear. The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging (8–9 points) and shattering (9 points), ensuring yield retention during ripening and harvesting. Additionally, it has moderate winter hardiness and drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic regions of Ukraine.
Atlant Myronivskyi also demonstrates good resistance to major diseases, such as false rust, dwarf rust, and leaf spot, with ratings of 6–7 points. For protection against smut diseases, it is recommended to treat seed material with fungicidal seed treatments. This variety is the first domestic registered variety of winter two-row barley, confirming its reliability and popularity among farmers.
