KWS Tenor

Winter barley variety "Tenor" is a six-row medium-early variety with high yield potential, reaching 52 to 93 centners per hectare depending on the growing region. Plants reach a height of about 90 cm and exhibit high resistance to lodging, ensuring yield preservation under adverse weather conditions. The variety features rapid autumn development, enabling late sowing, and possesses high winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it an optimal choice for cultivation on poorer and more challenging soils. Variety "Tenor" shows high resistance to a range of diseases, including powdery mildew, rhihosporeosis, spotting, yellow dwarf, rust, and yellow mosaic, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss and the need for intensive fungicide application. The 1000-grain weight is 52–55 grams, and the protein content in the grain reaches 11.8%, making it suitable for both food industry and animal feed. Seeds are available in packaging from 40 kg to 1 ton, convenient for various farm scales. For sowing, a depth of 3–4 cm is recommended with seeding rates varying from 300 to 450 seeds per square meter depending on sowing time. The variety was developed by the European company KWS and is produced under the control of the company "Rost Agro". Thanks to its adaptive qualities and resistance to adverse factors, winter barley "Tenor" is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable yields under various climatic and soil conditions.
