ARKANDA

Winter barley Arkanda is a medium-maturing two-row variety, distinguished by high yield and outstanding agronomic characteristics. It features large grains with a 1000-seed weight ranging from 52 to 58 grams and a test weight of 700-710 g/l, ensuring high feeding value. The variety demonstrates stable yields, varying from 54.7 to 110 centners/ha depending on growing conditions and seeding rates.

Arkanda exhibits high tolerance to lodging and stem breakage, significantly reducing yield losses under adverse weather conditions. It is resistant to major diseases, including powdery mildew, dwarf rust, and net blotch, as confirmed by resistance ratings from 5 to 8 points. Due to these qualities, the variety adapts well to diverse climatic and production conditions, making it suitable for cultivation across all zones, including regions from France to Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Recommended sowing dates for Arkanda vary from early (September 5-10) to late (up to October 10), with seeding rates ranging from 2.0-2.5 million seeds per hectare for early sowing to 3.4-3.8 million germinating seeds per hectare for optimal and late sowing.
